The scope of work for the project includes one installation site and will include Civil, Electrical engineering, and Architectural Design. The selected firm will provide Design and Engineering services for the Electric Vehicle Charging Stations as outlined below. Successful proposers will have experience in Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) Infrastructure development, Project Management, Public Contract Code compliance and government regulations. A. Project Management shall include but not be limited to: 1. Attend the pre-design meeting with County to review the project, in detail, to determine the County’s and Grant’s specific requirements concerning the project. 2. Continuous communication with the Orange County Project Manager, including meetings to review plan development at 30% conceptual, 60% Completion and 100% final completion. 3. Maintain oversight of the status of each task as it proceeds and make provisions to expedite and resolve any difficulties that may impede progress. 4. Provide utility coordination, including contacting utility representatives early in the project to discuss the scope to ensure sufficient capacity exists for EVCS, and to confirm utility points for interconnection. 5. Coordinate with affected utility companies to provide for proposed utility improvements prior to EVCS construction. B. Design & Engineering shall include and limited to EV infrastructure only, this consists of: 1. Review available information pertinent to the project, including existing survey data, as-built improvement plans, utility information, and other availablerecords. 2. Preliminary field reconnaissance, assessment of site conditions, identify potential locations for utility interconnection, and review grading for improvements to determine optimal placement of the EV infrastructure. 3. Coordinate topographical survey for the full project scope. 4. Prepare construction documents based on approved conceptual site plan showing the EVCS and infrastructure of the project site. 5. Develop Plans for the EVCS and infrastructure only, limited to: a. 100% sign and seal construction documents necessary to cost and bid. b. Typical cross sections, construction details and specifications. c. Electrical single-line diagrams and panel schedules d. Specifications in accordance with County and Grant Requirements 6. Submit plans, specification, andestimates for County review at the 60%, 95%, and 100% phases and incorporate comments. 7. Upon review and approval of 100% plan by the County, incorporate final comments and prepare final plans, specifications, and cost estimate.
