The project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete construction of the Woodgate-East Oak Grove Roundabout and Backage Road Project in accordance with the project plans and specifications. This work includes, but is not limited to, the following key tasks. A. Perform removals to clear the site for construction including, but not limited to, clearing and grubbing, removal of existing improvements, pavement, and concrete, and removal or in-place abandonment of existing sanitary sewer/manholes. B. Coordinate the relocation of existing power lines, gas lines, and communication lines (dry utilities) in conflict or being relocated as part of the project. This includes excavation and backfill of utility trenches (incl. street lights, common trenches, and power services) and general earthwork support for installation of dry-utility appurtenances. With the exception of empty conduits to be placed in select areas, utility owners shall install their respective lines and appurtenances into contractor-prepared trenches. See utility scoping document included as Appendix A for additional detail on scopes of work. C. Construct a new sanitary sewerline within the project area. The final tie-in manhole replacement for this project will require bypass pumping of sewage flowing up to 750 gallons per minute. D. Construct a waterline extension to include valves, services, and fire hydrants. E. Install new and replace select existing storm drain infrastructure through the project area to include piping, inlets, manholes, detention ponds, and detention pond outlet control structures. F. Construct new concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, bike ramps, splitter islands, curb ramps, and approaches. G. Reconstruct roadway base and pave with hot mix asphalt or concrete paving. H. Construct center-island landscaping features. I. Place decorative rock and weed barrier fabric in boulevard areas. J. Install new signage and striping. K. Coordinate project surveying and stakeout. This work is to be paid directly by the City and coordinated by the contractor. L. Implement stormwater management (including preparation of a stormwater management plan and completion of a stormwater construction permit with CDPHE), traffic control (incl. traffic control plan and daily TCS inspections), site security, site restoration, final grading, and quality control testing as necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
