I. The work shall include the following, but not limited to: A. Site Prep: Contractor shall remove 715 Linear Feet (LF) total existing sod/soil and replace with sand, as necessary, to create a proper base for the concrete. *Please refer to page 10 – Options A & B* B. Compaction: Contractor shall compact existing subgrade to 95% compaction before laying concrete. C. Concrete Strength: The contractor shall ensure the compressive strength of at least 3,000 PSI. D. Concrete Thickness: The contractor shall ensure the concrete thickness is 4” thick. E. ADA Requirements: The contractor shall comply with ADA Requirements and have a maximum allowable cross slope of 2% or 1” per foot – maximum. F. Expansion: The contractor shall ensure the expansion joint is 30’ minimum with premolded expansion filler, and seal with 1/2” X 1/2” silicone sealant. G. Ramps: The contractor shall ensure all ramps have detachable warning surface – truncated domes, and shall be a minimum of 24” in depth in the direction of pedestrian travel, and extend the full width of the curb ramp or landing. All ramp slopes must comply with ADA requirements with a slope no greater than 8%. H. Concrete Finish: The contractor shall ensure all concrete surfaces have a light broom finish. I. Truck Cleaning: The contractor shall wash out the concrete truck(s) at City approved areas only. J. Site Safety Plan: The contractor shall provide prudent barricades, signs, fencing, warning lights, trench safety measures, work methods and all other safety measures to protect the City, general public, contractor, and employees. K. Debris Removal: The contractor shall be responsible for all debris removal and cleanup.
