The University of Connecticut Health Center (UConn Health) is requesting proposals from qualified organizations to to provide on call floor care equipment repair services. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, upright vacuum cleaners, buffing and burnishing machines, wet/dry vacuum cleaners, corded and/or battery operated (rechargable) floor machines, back pack vacuums, steam cleaners, floor fans, carpet extractors and dry chemical carpet cleaners. The following is a representative, but not exclusive, list of manufacturers of floor care equipment owned by UConn Health: Nobles, NIlfisk/Advance, Tennant, Kent, Taski and Lindhaus. Contractor shall be responsible to (i) Pick up and deliver equipment to room LSB-015 Building Services office (ii) Complete repairs using factory trained and certified technicians (iii) Complete repairs within ten (10) working days (Monday through Friday) of equipment pickup at UConn Health. (iv) Should at any time the estimated repairs for any of the above equipment exceed the current market value replacement cost for comparable equipment, Contractor shall contact the Facilities Operations designated representative and secure written approval before initiating repairs. Repairs invoices without department approval will not be authorized for payment. The annual value of all services is on average $15,000; however, UConn Health shall only be responsible for actual services required. This estimate is not any guarantee of future business for the awarded supplier.
