UCSB East Campus Student Housing project, located on the main UC Santa Barbara campus, is envisioned as a new LEED Platinum residential community, inclusive of residence hall and apartment style unites, amenities and gathering opportunities, and an inclusive dining facility. UCSB East Campus Student Housing has a program goal of approximately 1687 student beds, dining, and various support spaces, within approximately 582,500 gross square feet - across multiple buildings and room types. Situated on roughly 10.6 acres of developable area, the project will require the rerouting and extensions of new and existing utilities – both onsite and offsite, protecting the existing occupied residence halls and academic buildings from noise and debris, mitigating pedestrian, vehicle and cyclist traffic, and managing the phasing of demolition and new construction.
