The Town of Colchester (the Owner) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the rehabilitation of the front porch, installation of a mansard roof portico, and installation of an exterior frame & door at the Colchester Youth Center. This project is located at 40 Norwich Ave in Colchester, CT 06415. The front porch work includes the removal and replacement of the existing decking, step riser tread and stringers, and ornamental skirts, joists, beams, joist hangars/support, ledger, and supporting posts & piers. It will require temporary support of the existing porch roof, columns, and balustrade. The installation of the mansard portico and door will require the demo of a portion of the existing lower soffit, removal & retrofit of a portion of the exiting gutter system, utilization of existing piping for columns, and removal of the existing door and frame. All work includes painting or staining of permanent work with materials designated by the Owner
