Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Raleigh desires to contract with one or more third party backflow testing companies the required annual testing of domestic, fire and irrigation backflow assemblies associated with Raleigh Water’s Water Treatment Plant and pump stations, Resource Recovery Wastewater Treatment Plant and lift stations, and Field Operation Facilities. Scope of work to include: Contractor must: a. Provide fee and rate schedule for testing-to include submittal fee, repairing and replacing backflow assemblies. b. Be licensed and registered with the State of North Carolina c. Have been in business for a minimum of three (3) years. d. Identify all subcontractors and ensure they are approved by the provided contact for each Raleigh Water facility. e. Ensure personnel qualifications meet those standards identified in City Ordinance: Article D: Water Quality Protection, Raleigh Water Appendix A: Guidelines and Requirements of Cross Connection Program and NC Plumbing and Fire Code. f. Provide contract and facility liaisons with company representative that is accessible to Raleigh Water throughout the duration of the contract. g. Keep Raleigh Water informed regarding changes to company or corporate name. h. Immediately contact contract and facility liaisons of personnel changes. i. Provide appropriate facility liaison with a comprehensive timeline and schedule for all backflow inspections listed in Table 1-Raleigh Water Backflow Testing List 8-13-24. j. Provide appropriate facility liaison with a comprehensive timeline and schedule for all approved backflow repairs and replacements. k. Provide trained and qualified personnel to test, repair and replace domestic, fire and irrigation backflow assemblies ranging in size from ¾” to 10”...
