The Community Center Roof consists of four (4) roofs; Gymnasium Roof, Lower Roof (including cooling tower roof), Theater Roof and Upper Roof as shown on the Project Location Map. The work to be performed at the Community Center includes but is not limited to: asbestos removal and disposal; remove and haul existing roof layers down to the decking; prepare roof for new roof layer; remove, furnish and install roof floor drains, remove existing and install new flashing; and furnish and install new roof with WeatherWeld (or approved equal). All labor, materials, tools and equipment, and all incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the Community Center Roof Replacement project shall be in accordance with the project specifications as specified hereinafter for the City of Whittier, Los Angeles County, State of California, in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook), 2021 Edition, International Code Council Evaluation Service Report (ICC ESR), including all supplements and with the current California Building Code and all local amendments. Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, appliances, and equipment to complete the project and be responsible for obtaining a no fee permit(s) for the project from the City of Whittier, Building Department.
