Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide remote clinical consultation to CDPHE Sexual Health Services Providers (SHSP), including consultation with the CDPHE Client Support Unit Supervisor and Client Services (CS) Coordinator. SHSPs work directly with clients living with HIV who are having difficulty making behavior changes so as to not transmit HIV to other individuals. This includes providing services for persons who are HIV negative, but are engaging in behaviors that increase the likelihood of HIV acquisition. Counseling is provided to reduce the spread of disease and costly sequelae. The nature of this type of counseling requires the expertise of a clinical supervisor for the SHSPs to effectively carry out the role of addressing risk reduction and counseling services. Consultation with the Client Support Unit Supervisor provides for continuity of supervision.
