Specifications include, but are not limited to: 389 acre hunting lease at Crooked Oaks. Crooked Oaks is a 389 acre quail plantation located in north-eastern Macon County and is owned by Auburn University. The property is owned by the AU Real Estate Foundation and the hunting lease is managed by the College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment. This hunting lease permits the lease access to the License Area for the hunting of deer and quail only. Hunting of turkeys is strictly prohibited.; The lessee shall not conduct hunting activities on days when Licensor has an event scheduled or there are students present. The lessee shall be solely responsible for checking with Crooked Oaks Management for any scheduled events on days when the Leassee proposes to hunt on the License Area. Lessee agrees to ensure that all its employees, guests, and agents are properly trained, and licensed, will be compliant with all hunting laws and regulations, and have completed an outdoor safety course that includes hunting education and safety practices. No rifles, high-powered or otherwise, shall be permitted on Licensor’s property. Deer hunting will be limited to bow and arrow only.
