Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide support services for the development, implementation, and evaluation of an updated Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) for Connecticut. The SHSP is a comprehensive plan to substantially reduce the vehicle related fatalities and serious injuries on Connecticut’s roadways and States are required to continuously update their SHSPs. Coordination and interaction with numerous State, local and private safety stakeholders will be required. In addition, the professional engineering firm will provide Task Order support services, including but not limited to the development of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Implementation Plan, as well as provide planning, design, and engineering assistance for traffic safety improvement plans and projects.
