Specifications include, but are not limited to: Research best practices in preventing harassment and discrimination via obtaining national school policies on harassment and discrimination and seeking input from local Colorado schools; draft a report on the results of the research; AND Develop training based on the report’s findings that will be made publicly available for Colorado school districts, schools, and public charter schools to use for meeting obligations under SB 24-162. Schools may use the training that Contractor develops, or they may use an alternative training if that alternative training is consistent with the best practices in preventing discrimination noted in Contractor’s report. experience requirements As per Senate Bill 24-162, vendors must have the following: Experience in K-12 education; Expertise in trauma-informed responses to harassment or discrimination for K-12 aged students; And have expertise in the following training topics: Recognizing harassment or discrimination; Recognizing indicators of grooming and child sexual abuse Distinguishing harassment and discrimination from bullying.
