Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Base Contract-A (autumn olive) asks for management of Autumn Olive (AUOL) growing in an approximately 11.8 acre wooded unit. Basal bark is the suggested treatment method for AUOL above ~4 feet in height and targeted low pressure foliar spray for AUOL below ~4 feet. • Base Contract-B (fence) asks for fence line management of all invasive and native woody plants along an ~0.8-mile chain link fence surrounding a training equipment site. In addition to managing the fence line with a 3-foot offset on either side, the contractor will manage Autumn Olive and other woody invasive plants within two adjacent open, periodically mowed, parcels totaling less than 2 acres. Other woody invasive plants include Shrub Honeysuckle, Asiatic Bittersweet, Multiflora Rose, and Memorial Rose (a non-native rose acting invasively in open habitats). MAARNG suggest a combination of treatment methods for this project (basal bark, foliar, and cut and wipe).
