Specifications include, but are not limited to: A tree inventory will offer the municipal government the ability to manage the city's tree species, age, size, health, location, maintenance requirements, and citizen complaints. The inventory will assist the public grounds department in prioritizing maintenance needs and species diversification. The inventory potentially may assist the Tree Board in resolution of appeals of tree removal denials and related issues. A pressing need for the inventory concerns hazard tree mitigation. Sections of the city have large trees that are nearing the end of their life cycle and potentially pose hazard risks for the community. These trees need to be assessed and managed. The inventory will help expedite this process.
