Specifications include, but are not limited to: Goal #1: To improve the quality of the environment and public health for the citizens of Colorado by continuously improving efforts to ensure proper management of solid waste. Objective #1: No later than the expiration date of this contract, development of an Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan shall occur. Primary Activity #1 The Contractor shall attend a Contract Kick-Off Meeting. Primary Activity #2 The Contractor shall assess the current state of waste diversion in Colorado. Sub-Activities #2 1. The Contractor shall review the following: a. Existing reports b. Studies c. Maps d. Planning resources e. Background research previously collected 2. The Contractor shall facilitate 4 stakeholder meetings with solid waste and waste diversion stakeholders to collect information on the following: a. Waste diversion policies currently being implemented in Colorado, b. Needs and gaps, c. Strategies to improve waste diversion. 3. The Contractor shall review the executive summary of the statewide needs assessment on recycling infrastructure. 4. The Contractor shall review the 2023 organics management plan. 5.
