Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall supply parts and fluids for initial, semi- and annual services. All parts and fluids must meet or exceed manufacturers’ specifications. Site to be left in as found condition. All trash and wastes produced by the service must be removed from the site and disposed of responsibly. Contractor is to provide a two-week advance notice to the Director of Facilities and/or Director of Public Works (or designee) before any routine service work is to be performed. Man hours paid under this contract shall be only for productive hours on the job site. Time spent for transportation of workers, material acquisition, handling and delivery, or for movement of contracted owned or rented equipment is not chargeable directly but its overhead and all costs shall be included in the fixed hourly rates. Emergency service and after-hours services must be authorized by the Director of Facilities and/or Director of Public Works (or designee). The City shall accept no bid with a minimum charge stipulation. Contractor’s employees shall wear uniforms bearing the company name whenever at the job site. Contractor’s vehicle shall bear the company name/logo whenever the Contractor is traveling to and from the job site. At all times during the term of this contract, the Contractor shall employ a minimum of two (2) technicians to perform the service under this contract. Technicians shall have performed maintenance/repair on similar equipment for at least two (2) years. Technicians shall be in the Contractor’s employment at the time the Contractor submits this bid. Contractor’s personnel sent to service City generators shall carry identification confirming they are bona fide employees of the Contractor and not subcontractors and must submit to background check through LCPD. Use of subcontractors, without consent of the City, is ample cause for termination of the contract. City staff will contact supplier 48 hours in advance to request routine services. Vendor needs to be capable of fulfilling requests in emergency situations as needed. All respondents shall be licensed, insured, and bonded. Please provide license number and copy of license.
