The Utilities Department is soliciting fully licensed and qualified contractors to install a new odor control system for the Silver Spring Shores Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Head-works and Digester systems located at 450 Emerald Road, Ocala, FL 34472. As the facility treats more wastewater coming into the facility, as a result of growth, the potential for odors increases. Marion County Utilities wants to maintain a “Good Neighbor” policy with the surrounding community of Silver Spring Shores by installing the odor control systems. Odor Control system shall be either the Hayward HIBOCS-150 or Owner approved equal. Owner approved equal must be submitted to Procurement Services and approved by MCU no later than the LDQ on September 5, 2024 at 12:00 PM.
