Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the Project, which will include the demolition and replacement of an existing 220,000-gallon potable bolted water storage tank and replacing it with a new bolted steel water storage tank. The newly installed tank will have an operational volume of 139,112 gallons and be equipped with appurtenances. This replacement of the existing water storage tank includes the installation of the inlet and outlet piping, valves, spools, and fittings, excavation and backfilling, erosion and sedimentation control measures, tank foundation construction, removal of protection posts, and reinstalling electrical and transducer systems, and all other work necessary to complete this project as shown on the Bid Documents, including Plans and Specifications. Please note that the installation of the temporary polyethylene tanks, including the temporary piping, valves, spools, and fittings, will be done “in-house” by the Department of Public Works Special Districts – Water and Sanitation Division or excluded from this bid package.
