Bids will be received by the Saint Paul Regional Water Services (hereafter SPRWS) and the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of St. Paul (hereafter Board) for work consisting of the repair, replacement, and lining of the existing 16-inch steel watermain and supporting systems at Robert Street Bridge. The watermain ruptured due to a combination of freezing and deadhead hydraulic conditions, and caused some considerable damage to the pipeline, pipe fittings, pipe supports, and concrete within the bridge piers from Pier 3 to the South Abutments. Additional details regarding the Project sections are included in the Plans. Note that SPRWS will provide the steel watermain pipe and fittings that require replacement within the piers. These materials will be available to the contractor on or before November 1, 2024.
