Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Summary of Work, location, Work sequence, closeout, Contractor use of premises, and activities by others at Project site. B. Work includes furnishing products, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, means, and services to construct the project entitled “Equipping of Water Wells Alamitos 9A and Alamitos 14, WD-10-24”, located within the City of Long Beach (see Drawing O-0749 Sheet G-01 for locations). C. The Work also includes rehabilitation of the existing Stearns-Champion Park parking lot, as shown on the Contract Drawings. D. This Section describes the work necessary to equip two municipal water supply wells and demolish three existing wells. The Contractor shall provide all the labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project. This Section describes the work necessary to equip two new municipal water supply wells and demolish three existing wells. The Contractor shall provide all the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to equip each well and complete the project in accordance with the contract documents. The Work at each well shall include, but not be limited to, the following: A. Well Alamitos 9A and 14 1. Mobilize/Demobilize. 2. Furnish and install reinforced concrete well pump base and extend existing gravel fill tubes, camera tube, and sounding tube to surface. Construct new well casing vent pipe. 3. Install submersible pump, motor, column pipe, and discharge elbow. 4. Furnish and install discharge piping, valves, flowmeter, pressure switches and transmitters, level transmitter, fittings and all other appurtenances downstream of the discharge head in accordance with Contract Plans and Specifications. 5. Construct connections of the well discharge piping to the existing 24-inch CML&C steel Well Collection Main. 6. Construct reinforced concrete well facility slab and driveway. 7. Furnish and Install new NEMA 3R, 600 amp meter and main switchboard, motor control center, 300 HP 6-pulse VFD with air conditioning unit, and passive harmonic filter, as shown on the Contract Plans and as required by the Contract Specifications. 8. Coordinate new electrical service work with SCE; furnish and install transformer slab box, and conduits to the new transformer box at Well Alamitos 14 and to the new distribution panel at both well sites in accordance with the SCE service plan, Contract Plans and Specifications. 9. Furnish and install Programmable Logic Controller, and NEMA 3R lighted lockable enclosure. 10.
