Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The consultation should include an in-depth review of the current state of the Athletic Department in all aspects, including but not limited to organizational structure, personnel, financial condition, revenue streams, facilities and infrastructure. • Proposers must obtain a thorough understanding of the WVU Athletic Department, identifying strengths, weaknesses, areas requiring improvement and opportunities to advance organizationally, institutionally, financially, and competitively. • An emphasis should be placed on the football program due to the impact that program has on the overall status and viability of the Athletic Department. • The analysis should include a competitive assessment of WVU with other Big 12 schools, other Power 4 peer institutions, as well as regional peers. • The impact of NIL should be included in the consultation analysis. • Results from the assessment should identify opportunities for WVU to increase its competitiveness, strengthen its organizational structure, identify additional revenue streams, and investments required in the facilities and infrastructure. • The Proposers should also provide well-defined, structured guideposts that will assist WVU in obtaining the goals and objectives set forth in the consultation plan.
