Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, tools, electrical design and/or engineering (as needed) and supervision necessary to perform routine and emergency installation, general repair and replacement services within the Town of Oxford’s municipal buildings as directed by an authorized representative of the Town. All work shall be performed by a Massachusetts licensed electrician having at least a Journeyman License in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws. All materials shall be new and of satisfactory quality. All workmanship shall conform to the best practice in the trade, be performed by skilled and licensed labor in the field, and comply with all Federal, State and municipal laws and regulations. The Town will reject any unsatisfactory services. All services shall be guaranteed for one (1) year. All material and debris from the work shall be removed and the premises left clean and safe at all times. The successful bidder shall protect all walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, equipment and contents from any damage. Damage to the building, caused by the successful bidder, shall be repaired or replaced at the successful bidder’s expense. When hazardous operations are conducted by the successful bidder, standing signs such as “Under Repair”, “Out of Service”, “Caution”, etc. and barricades shall be provided to alert the public and employees to such hazards. The Town does not assume any responsibility for fire, theft, accident or any other cause resulting in damage or loss of the successful bidder’s supplies, materials, equipment or personal property of its employees. Types of work shall include, but not be limited to, installing new, repairing and replacing broken, inoperative or missing parts and fixtures of: • Main Switch Boards – power and lighting • Circuit Breaker Panels – power and lighting • Lighting Switches • Lighting Fixtures – interior, exterior and parking • Defective Conductors • Motors and Controls • Lamps and Sockets • All Associated Power and Lighting Equipment • Low and High Voltage Wiring – access and security systems, computer cabling • Fire Alarm Systems • Central Sound Systems • Generator Testing • Engineering – illumination requirements, interior and exterior • Tracing of Existing Wiring, Mapping • Coordination of Power-Downs and Restarts with the Local Electric Service Provider • Stationary and Portable Electric Generators • Any Electrical Work as May be Deemed Necessary
