Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) The completed Aluminum Hazmat Units shall meet and/or exceed the Federal Highway Administration Class 5 – Medium Duty Truck (19,500 lbs. GVWR,) walkaround rescue four (4) door commercial cab/chassis, four (4) wheel drive specifications. b) Aluminum Hazmat Units, as described as chassis, body, equipment, devices, accessories and electronic equipment to be delivered under the contract shall comply with standard commercial products and shall meet or exceed all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and all applicable Federal Regulations specified for the year of manufacture. c) All parts, materials and equipment used in the manufacture of the Aluminum Hazmat Units as described herein shall be of current model year and of latest parts, materials and equipment commercially available. d) No manufacturer or dealer information is to be displayed on the Aluminum Hazmat Units upon delivery. e) At a minimum, MDE and Bidder shall engage in progress meetings before, during and prior to delivery of the completed unit(s). Final delivery of any unit(s) shall not be made until express written consent from MDE. f) Bidder shall provide in its bid their experience in construction, upfitting and servicing of modular ambulance/medium duty emergency vehicles.
