We would like to contract with an Indigenous artist to create/design the following: Signage: Design artwork dual language (Ojibwe and English) signage that increases awareness and safety for walkers and bikers that includes Ojibwe art. Signage will be installed in the City of Cloquet and on the Fond du Lac Reservation. Maps: Assist regional and local staff to design a map of safe routes to school routes and local trails on the Fond du Lac Reservation and in the City of Cloquet. Mural: Design and install a community mural that highlights community, Ojibwe artwork, language (Ojibwe and English), and walking and bicycling. The location for the mural will be within Pinehurst Park in Cloquet. The specific location within the park will be the arch Band Shell (subject to change based on artists recommendation).
