Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Removal and legal disposal of existing paint and coatings. 2. Abatement of all lead-based paints/coatings, following all state guidelines and requirements for hazardous materials abatement. Abatement monitoring to be performed by others. 3. Preparation of all surfaces to receive new work. 4. Installation of new primers and coatings at concrete floors as indicated on the design documents. 5. Installation of new primers and coatings at concrete walls and ceilings as indicated on the design documents. 6. Installation of new primers and coatings at metal walls and ceilings as indicated on the design documents. 7. Installation of new primers and coatings at steel beams, columns, stairs and railings as indicated on the design documents. 8. All existing equipment is to be protected from dust/debris and aerosolized materials during the construction. 9. Contractor is fully responsible for verifying all existing conditions. 10. Reference RFQ for additional information and required submissions in bid.
