Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) Regulation 8, Part B defines an ACM as a material containing more than 1% asbestos. The intent of this project is to remove the identified ACM to be impacted prior to the renovation/demolition of the building. The following asbestos containing materials are included: • East Section of Courtyard - Boys/Girls o Confirmed ACM Surfacing materials are located on the ceilings and soffit in each restroom. • West Section of Courtyard-Boys/Girls o Confirmed ACM Surfacing materials are located on the ceilings and soffit in each restroom. • Northwest near exit-Boys/Girls o Confirmed ACM Surfacing materials are located on the ceilings and soffit in each restroom. o ~1,198 Square Feet total for all three locations – FRIABLE-Texture o This will include any associated overspray above the hard lid and APEC is requiring that 8 inches down from the ceilings on the CMU Blocks be removed of any overspray in all three locations.
