Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor’s professional nursing staff assigned to work at DJS facilities shall: A. Receive general supervision from a Registered Nurse Supervisor/Manager from the Department; B. Provide safe and appropriate nursing care to the youth under the care and custody of DJS; C. Perform all duties in accordance with protocols and instructions for individual patient care; D. Utilize the nursing process in providing safe, effective, and efficient nursing care; E. Assess patient needs and problems in illness and health; F. Collect laboratory specimens including phlebotomy; G. Consult with nursing staff and other team members at the facility regarding issues related to patient care; H. Communicate clearly and understandably in English, both in writing and orally; I. Utilize positive interpersonal skills;
