The Frederick County Fleet Services Department performs automotive maintenance and repairs for a service fleet of approximately one thousand (1,000) County vehicles on location at three (3)separate service facilities; see Attachment 9 for locations and addresses. Types of fleet vehicles include, but are not limited to: passenger cars, light trucks, heavy duty trucks, law enforcement cruisers, construction and off-road equipment, fire apparatus, ambulances, transit buses and other specialty equipment. 1.2 Throughout the year, Fleet Services has a need for the provision and delivery of various aftermarket automotive parts and supplies. The contract(s) resultant from this solicitation will include supply and delivery of major automotive components such as engines and transmissions, minor parts such as alternators, starters and brakes as well as more consumable supplies such as belts, hoses and filters. Additionally, hourly service rates are requested for general automotive repairs and preventive maintenance services in the event that Fleet Services needs to supplement the work performance of their in-house staff
