This service will include: • Remove and dispose the existing carbon media in the seven (7) odor control vessels. Photographs included in Specifications. • Remove and dispose of any trash or debris inside each vessel. • Power wash the bird screen on the bypass exhaust of each vessel to remove trash and debris. • Install carbon media inside each vessel so that the bed in each vessel is approximately 3 feet deep or the required depth per Operations and Maintenance Manual. • Provide Darco H2S LP Extruded Activate Carbon in 1,000 lb. bulk bags. • The amount of carbon is based on an apparent (poured) density of 31 lbs. per cubic foot. • Reinstall the access ports with the new gaskets that are suitable for the application. • Replace screen. • The Seller shall schedule the work in cooperation with City personnel to provide access. • The Seller shall confine equipment and personnel within the boundaries of the identified work area during execution of the project. • The Seller shall be responsible for selecting the appropriate licensed disposal facility to which the existing carbon media material will be delivered and will obtain any required waste disposal approval(s) from the disposal facility. • The Seller shall protect the existing amenities of the site during the project and be held liable for any resulting damage. These amenities include, but are not limited to, buildings, pavement, walkways, curbing, equipment, and vegetation, including trees. • The Seller shall perform a pre-final site inspection with City personnel before Seller’s equipment and personnel are demobilized from the site. Assuming formal acceptance of work is granted, Seller’s personnel will remove equipment, materials, and temporary facilities from the site. Equipment will be disassembled once no longer needed. Areas where construction activities occurred will be left in a clean and stable condition prior to fully demobilizing from the site (see photos attached pages 4 – 6).
