Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected A/E firm will be responsible for the following tasks as outlined by USDA feasibility study expectations: 1. Programming: a. Collaborate with town officials and stakeholders to define the functional requirements and space needs for the Department of Public Works Facility as well as the police department. 2. Site Analysis: a. Conduct an evaluation of the existing DPW property and 44 Elm Street property to determine suitability for the proposed uses. b. Indicate why the proposed facilities, new construction, and/or rehabilitation is needed. c. Include site condition, size inadequacy, suitability for continued use, is the facility owned or leased and other pertinent information, etc. d. Include accessibility concerns/noncompliant issues. e. Include any structural evaluation reports, hazardous material (i.e., lead based paint, asbestos containing materials, etc.) reports, etc. if available or required. 3. Schematic Design: a. Develop schematic designs and architectural renderings for the proposed DPW facility and police department, incorporating innovative and sustainable design principles with appropriate dimensions and elevations. b. Describe proposed interior materials and finishes, if known. Identify any portion of the facility that will remain unfinished for future improvement/development/expansion and the area of unfinished space (in square feet). c.
