Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Projects involve the design and construction of a 0.5 MGD package plant wastewater reclamation facility employing membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology and UV disinfection to produce tertiary treated and disinfected Title 22 reclaimed water that is in accordance with General WDR Order No. R3-2020-0020 to utilize for campus irrigation purposes. Additional Project components include lift station(s), force main(s), a lined 120-acre-foot earthen reservoir, and small swine storage tank. The 2035 Master Plan accounts for nearly 15,000 beds of student housing to accommodate the first and second year live-on requirements as well as maintaining housing for transfer and returning upper division students. To begin to meet this need, the University intends to design and construct three new student housing projects at the current North Mountain and K-1 parking sites and renovate six existing residential halls at the current South Mountain site. The University’s 2020 Utility Master Plan describes how the infrastructure needs to be improved, including water system, to meet the 2035 Master Plan. Presently, the water system cannot accommodate the future Housing projects, and needs to be improved to meet the new demands.
