Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) requests proposals to assess the existing mountain bike (MTB) facilities within Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area (CCSRA) for their consistency with a desirable user experience, and accurate reflection of trail difficulty and experience. The CCSRA MTB trail system has nearly doubled in size over the last few years and now totals 45 trails covering nearly 60 miles. The assessment report will include MTB trail descriptions (length, current difficulty rating, recommended difficulty rating, trail style and experience narrative, maps and signage, safety issues, construction, and maintenance and sustainability issues) and will result recommendations for each trail. The assessment report will describe the current condition and recommended future condition (improvement/modifications) for each trail and features, trailhead, and map. The assessment report will also include feature specific routine inspection and maintenance recommendations. Global Positioning System (GPS) locations of all areas recommended for improvements/modifications are to be provided in conjunction with a preliminary and final report.
