Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project involves clearing established hunter walking trails of deadfall trees and mowing grass and brush on the trails. A total of approximately 128.4 miles of Hunter Walking Trails are to be mowed of brush and grass and cleared of deadfalls on State Forest, Wildlife Management Area (WMA), Aquatic Management Area (AMA) and County lands in the Park Rapids and Baudette wildlife work areas. The full mileage is not guaranteed. Unforeseen environmental conditions during the contract period (described below) may prohibit some sections from being completed. Contractor will only be paid for sections completed 100% to specification. Contractor must mow trails to a minimum width of 8 feet and a minimum mowing height to 4 inches or less of ground surface. A rotary mower is required. Additional details about equipment requirements are contained in the “Equipment Specifications” section. Interested bidders must provide information about their equipment as part of their bid response. The contractor’s equipment must be cleaned thoroughly (see Invasive Species Prevention information above) prior to entering/in between each site involved in the project. Use of a portable air compressor or pressure washer is highly recommended.
