Specifications include, but are not limited to: Shape, compact, and grade the slopes, ditches, subgrade and shoulders to the lines, grades, and typical sections established by the plans or as directed by the Engineer. Roadway ditches shall be cleaned, reshaped, and maintained until final acceptance of the project. Excavated areas shall be uniformly graded, well compacted, and free of debris and loose material. Excavated areas adjacent to existing pavement having more than a 2-inch drop-off, shall be backfilled to a 6:1 slope. Remove and satisfactorily dispose of vegetation and debris from within the project limits. Dispose of any waste material only at an approved location. No material may be wasted or removed from the project unless approved by the Engineer. All waste disposal shall be in accordance with the Specifications, as well as state, federal and local regulations regarding the disposal of waste material.
