Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide a 5 year obstruction investigation and a 5 year internal inspection for (32) sprinkler systems, including the removal of the end of one crossmain and the end of one branch line for the purpose of looking for obstructions; and provide an internal inspection of the fire department connection check valve, main riser check valve, alarm valve, preaction valve, deluge valve or dry pipe valve and their associated strainers, filters, and restriction orifices, as applicable as indicated in NFPA 25 2014: an inspection of piping and branch line conditions shall be conducted every 5 years by opening a flushing connection at the end of one main and by removing a sprinkler toward the end of one branch line for the purpose of inspecting for the presence of foreign organic and inorganic material.
