Waste Pump #5 at the Wiggins Mill WTP is currently a 480 volt 3 phase 40 Horsepower, enclosed line shaft, oil-lubricated single stage Vertical Turbine pump rated at 2000 GPM @ 55 ft. The purpose of this project is to rebuild the existing pump to 60HP with a new bowl assembly rated at 3500 GPM @ 55 ft, including new inner-column, bottom column, sole plate, and coatings as specified herein. Only the motor pedestal and underground discharge column will be reused. The successful bidder will also be responsible for removal of the existing pump and installation of the new pump, electrical improvements, startup, and field testing. The City of Wilson will supply the replacement vertical motor and it is currently stored onsite.
