Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this project is to strip the paint from paddle tennis court #4 and to resurface the court located at Weed Beach in Darien, Connecticut. The following work is involved: 3.1 Remove old gaskets from between deck planks and dispose of properly 3.2 Strip deck to almost bare aluminum taking care to not warp aluminum deck plank extrusions nor break any welds 3.3 Clean all debris from between the deck planks so that there is a clean “crack” between blanks approximately 3/16” to 1/4” wide 3.4 Mechanically etch in two directions the entire court surface area 3.5 Chemically etch deck surface with degreaser and water 3.6 Prime deck surface with a two-part epoxy-based paint 3.7 Apply first light aggregate coat with epoxy-based paint and #24 aluminum oxide as aggregate
