Specifications include, but are not limited to: Milk - Homogenized, Grade A, whole fluid and low fat, Vitamin "A" & "D" fortified milk, shall conform to all usual specifications and requirements of the U.S. Public Health Service Milk Ordinance and Code. All milk shall be produced from domestic cattle, pasteurized, homogenized, and graded under the supervision of local and/or State Health Department. Whole milk shall contain not less than 3.25% butter fat; low fat milk shall contain at least 1.5% but not more than 2.0% butter fat; both milks shall contain not more than 30,000 bacteria per CC at any time after homogenization; no water added preservatives, or other foreign matter.
