Gadsden Independent School District requests a proposal to provide the following Speech Language Therapy and Assistive Technology Devices and Services: A. Provide evaluations, supervision and consultation speech language therapy services to students in accordance with state and federal laws and with GISD Special Education Department guidelines and procedures. B. Services to be provided shall be performed by personnel licensed by the New Mexico Speech Language Pathology, Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board and the Public Education Department and shall not include university practicum students. Services to be provided will include: 1. Perform evaluations determining need and eligibility for services in accordance with state and federal guidelines and following the format and criteria determined by GISD Special Education Department. 2. Submit, as required, information needed for IEP and Annual Review Committee regarding suggested services and treatment goals for individual students, via the electronic IEP format. 3. Maintain/update information on progress toward treatment goals on an annual basis for individual students. 4. Supervise clinical fellows or apprentices in speech language throughout the District in compliance with GISD procedures. 5. Provision of therapy on campuses that remain unserved pending new hires. 6. Provide direct, indirect or consulting services as specified by students’ Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and in compliance with state and federal laws.
