Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The project includes new structural floor framing and concrete slab at the Terminal Upper Level immediately adjacent to the current active SSCP. Related renovations are required in the International Baggage Claim Hall on the Arrivals Level below, which is part of the Immigration Hall managed by U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP). An interstitial level housing baggage conveyors will receive partial upgrades to the existing catwalk system. 2. The contractor shall be required to make provisions to assure the continued and continuous operation of the Security Screening Checkpoint (SSCP) by TSA, including suitable protection for TSA equipment. In addition, all fire prevention and life safety measures shall be kept operational throughout construction. Controls shall be implemented and maintained for noise and vibration; moisture and mold protection; dust control and mitigation; and environmental controls (HVAC). 3. Structural work includes selective demolition of existing steel framing (at floor and at interior enclosure); new steel floor framing and deck; new concrete slab; and required special inspections and testing.
