Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project planning and estimating – airside programs and projects. 2. CIP project implementation, including conceptual layouts, preliminary design, final design, preparation of construction documents, bid reviews, construction inspection, surveying, etc. 3. Projects – construction safety plans, 7460 submittals and mitigation proposals, provision of staff and cars for radio car operators during construction, coordination of airfield access for construction. 4. Electrical and utility infrastructure – airfield impacts, construction, corridors, pavement crossings, coordination and program planning for future airfield needs/replacements. 5. Storm water infrastructure and pond/drainage design, requirements, watershed coordination. 6. Deicing pad and glycol containment/management. 7. Aircraft (and other) fueling – infrastructure, construction requirements; developments with Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). 8. Utility infrastructure – overall mapping for the airfield and provision of data to MAC Airport Development, Trades, Field Maintenance, etc. as requested, for all utilities, including but not limited to telecommunications and fiber, storm sewer infrastructure, sanitary sewer and watermain, natural gas, power feeds and conduits. 9. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Air Traffic Control – coordination (with MAC staff), project reviews, construction phasing plans, project impacts. 10. Support of MAC’s Geographic Information System (GIS) and asset management program with project information, asset nomenclature and tagging, surveying, on-going data and mapping elements for the airfield. 11. Security – access, facilities, card access, gates, advocacy for construction. 12. Navigational Aids (NAVAIDs), related airfield equipment, construction/installation utilities and coordination. 13. Modification of runway approach and departure procedures, e.g. Ground Based Augmentation System, area navigation (RNAV), and experience coordinating with flight procedures. 14. Engineered Material Arresting System – materials, design, construction installation methods. 15. Fire protection – airfield infrastructure, Aqueous Fire Fighting Foam transitioning, impacts and requirements. 16. New technologies – stay up to date on pavements, construction, lighting, signage, or other efficiency opportunities. 17. Agency Coordination as applicable – watershed districts, DNR, COE, MPCA, etc.
