The City of Meriden is seeking a qualified contractor to remove metals on a recurring basis from its Transfer Station located at 226 Evansville Avenue, and from its Public Works Facility located at 55 Michael Drive. The term of this work shall be for a three-year period starting July 1 st , 2024 through June 30th 2027. The successful bidder shall also place a minimum of one 40 yard container at the Transfer Station for City use, and up to two 40 yard containers at the Public Works Facility for City use. Additional containers may be necessary on pre-planned special collection days. The contractor shall remove and empty these container(s) when full and ensure an empty container is available at all times for incoming metal. The City may weigh all containers at the transfer station. Containers shall have covers, be in good condition and contain only the company’s information.
