Specifications include, but are not limited to: In accordance with North Carolina General Statute 143-64.31, Electricities, on behalf of the City of Lexington, NC is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified Electrical Engineering Consultants, with proven experience and expertise, to provide Professional Engineering Services in support of the Electric System. The services and projects anticipated may include but are not limited to; electric engineering analysis; design of electric facilities; system studies; long range work plans; construction plans and specifications; electrical transmission; distribution, and substations design; generation systems; SCADA systems; operational equipment; process improvements; energy consumption analysis; arc flash studies; relay and post fault analysis and other electrical review as required. This request for qualifications is intended to provide the City of Lexington with a flexible and effective way to respond to a range of engineering needs with an available firm ready to help in as many ways as possible. The selected firms shall also be knowledgeable with all state and federal regulations and requirements and all other practices that pertain to various projects. The successful firm will be required to prepare detailed construction drawings and material lists and estimate the approximate project construction costs when put out to bid. In addition to the drawings, Bid Specification Packages will be required, along with NCDOT Encroachment Agreements, NC DENR Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plans and Railroad Crossing Agreements, as necessary per project.
