Specifications include, but are not limited to: installing RRFBs, and signing and pavement marking work in District 4, at the locations listed on the NOTICE TO CONTRACTOR-SITE NO. ASSOCIATIONS and on the project plans. The installing RRFBs work will include any and all work associated with the provision and installation of RRFB equipment that meets the latest Department standards, and will either be solar-powered (preferred) or hardwired. The signing work will consist of installing and replacing/relocating signs associated with the RRFBs on municipally-owned and maintained roads as shown on the plans. The Contractor shall install signs with Type IX Retroreflective Sheeting material on new breakaway metal signs posts, as specified on the plans. The size and placement of the signs is specified on the plans. The Contractor shall contact “Call Before You Dig” (telephone: 811) for the location of underground utilities in accordance with Section 16-345 of the Regulations of the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Regulatory Authority. The Contractor shall install each new sign assembly before removing an existing sign. Signs shall be removed the same day the replacement sign assembly is installed.
