Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MnDNR) Operations Services Division (OSD) and the Division of Parks and Trails (PAT) request proposals from interested consulting engineering firms for professional services to perform ALL work necessary to prepare construction plans and specifications, provide construction inspection, and contract administration services for the Gitchi Gami State Trail (GGST) Tofte Gap Segment. The GGST is a non-motorized paved shared use trail that will ultimately extend from Two Harbors to Grand Marais. This segment is approximately 0.3 miles length and is proposed to have a 10 ft. wide paved top with 2-foot shoulders and an urban type section. This segment of trail will begin at the existing terminus of the Gitchi Gami State Trail at Tofte Homestead Drive. The trail alignment will progress Northeast along T.H. 61 and terminate near the existing terminus at Bayview Drive.
