Specifications include, but are not limited to: HHS is seeking experienced contractors to provide services funded with state Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention (HHAP) funding, including the Continuum of Care (CoC) allocation of HHAP Round 5 and the TransitionAge Youth (TAY) allocations for HHAP Round 4 and Round 5. The priorities for this funding were established by a subcommittee of Marin’s Continuum of Care, the Homeless Policy Steering Committee. Projects may be submitted that fall into one or more of the following categories: • Outreach o Maintaining funding for current HHAP-funded outreach; • Prevention o Assistance for newcomers o Rental assistance for prevention, including shallow rent subsidies o Housing Navigation services; • Permanent Housing Solutions o Assistance for newcomers o Additional shallow rent subsidies for older adults o Family housing (could include case management or construction/acquisition costs) o Medical providers to be embedded in housing-based case management teams o Housing Navigation services; • Emergency Shelter/Interim Housing o Assistance for newcomers o Infrastructure repairs for existing emergency shelter; • Transition-Age Youth o Assistance for newcomers o Maintaining funding for current Transition-Age Youth outreach (eligible TAY project) o Maintaining funding for current Youth Action Board (eligible TAY project) o Maintaining funding for current Transition-Age Youth family services (eligible TAY project) o Housing for former foster youth (construction/acquisition) (eligible TAY project)
