Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. This approved grant proposal is based on a PopR archetype, consisting of a contractor developing a model and an initial setup of an application program interface that connects to agency data sources. The model would use a Bayesian integrated population model (IPM) that combines multiple data sources such as the agency’s wolf monitoring and survival data sets. These IPM’s efficiently deal with limited data, overcome missing data, and facilitate prediction with error. Model updates would be streamlined to reduce time commitments from staff. PopR has since evolved into Speedgoat but is managed by the same individuals. The archetype’s value to state wildlife agencies is unmatched and is unique to Speedgoat. Therefore, no other source is available to deliver the products identified.
