Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Provide materials, services and equipment required for rough and finish grading of the site; construction of berms and embankments; preparing building, structure and road earthen foundation pads to include excavating and recompacting or replacing existing soils to requirements shown on the Contract Documents; densification and stabilization of site soils; rock crushing; and dewatering. 1. Verify shrinkage characteristics of imported soils and existing soils to be reused. 2. CDCR will not be responsible for additional costs associated with variations in shrinkage factors and related earthwork quantities. 3. CDCR makes no representation regarding the balance of cut and fill earthwork on the site. The Contractor is responsible for the calculation of cut and fill required and available, for the cost of obtaining fill required, and for the cost of disposal of surplus. B.
