The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the contract documents. The work to be performed includes, but not limited to the following activities for this contract: Sawcut and removal of portions of existing A.C. pavement on designated areas, removal and disposal of native material on designated areas, grinding of top 1.0” of existing A.C. pavement on designated surfaces, lowering and raising the covers of existing sewer manholes, water valves, gas valves, and electrical boxes, remove and dispose of existing PCC Cross Gutter as shown in plans. As to the new improvements to be constructed the following components in general are included as part of this project: Installation of overlay system consisting of the following, ¾” AC leveling course, 3/8” Asphalt Rubber Aggregate Membrane (ARAM), 1.5” of asphalt Rubber Hot Mix (ARHM-GG), Pavement Structure of 4” A.C. over 12” thick of Class 2 Aggregate Base Material on designated areas, and installation of new thermoplastic striping and 5’ wide thermoplastic Class II bike lanes. Includes road traffic control around the construction zones. All work to be completed within existing City of Imperial Right-of-Way.
