Specifications include, but are not limited to: Increasing the capacity and reliability of the existing Carancho Pump Station facility, which includes, but not limited to, replacing one (1) existing pump with a new 300 HP vertical turbine pump, installing two (2) new 300 HP vertical turbine pumps in the spare pump cans, and reusing one (1) existing 350 HP pump to provide a firm pumping capacity of 4,200 gpm [firm capacity is defined as capacity with three (3) pumps running and one (1) on standby]; constructing a new suction pipeline header, isolation valve, individual pump suction lines and isolation valves, and discharge lines and check and isolation valves and all appurtenances; constructing approximately 500 linear feet of a new 24-inch diameter cement mortar lined and coated steel pipeline in the concrete driveway, a temporary bypass pipeline, and removal of the existing 12-inch discharge pipeline; installing two (2) new surge tanks, air compressor, and associated piping and equipment including demolition of the existing surge tank; electrical improvements including a new 1,250 kW generator, discharge side flow meter, controls, conduits, wires, antenna, and transformer pad; demolition of the two (2) existing steel tanks; and miscellaneous site improvements for a complete and functional pump station in accordance with the project plans and specifications and all other applicable technical and administrative provisions.
